this was a Concrete Splicer Tank from a Papermill Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The tank was 32' X 22' X19' deep that hadn't been opened for 38 years. There is upwards of 38 million gallons of wastewater and sludge that passes daily from the plant.
We mobilized with ELS Engineered Lining Systems our portion of the work was to waterblast the interior concrete and remove the soft concrete that had been attacked by the chemicals and fumes and repair back to sound concrete. Then ELS was going to apply 2" of reinforced polymer rebuild material to give the tank 5-20 additional service life
